Recommendations for new Smoke Detectors?

I’m about to replace the six smoke detectors (Kidde 1275s) in my house. The past two summers they’ve randomly gone off (no fire). I’ve read that this model, as well as several other Kidde models, have problems with nuisance alarms, which is something my family would like to avoid all-together.

What are some good, reliable smoke alarm options? They must be able to interconnect with others.

I have BRK and have never had a false tripped alarm. Make sure one of them is a combination smoke/carbon monoxide detector.

Kiddie, BRK first alert are the main players. Go BRK and be sure it has a photosensor.
